So it's in fact the *earlier* build at kde.org that Tim identifies as not suffering from an SSL problem, tho' obviously the KDevelop binary thing is cured in the ones on suse.com.
That would appear to mean the later build has the bigger problems ... Sorry to press a point, but does that agree with what others are finding, about the https problems, etc?
My suggestion would be to download the KDE 2.2 binaries from a KDE.org mirror, and then if you need KDevelop get that from suse.com.
