Hi list,
I am planning to buy a new but not too expensive scanner. I am checking sane's homepage to see what scanners work with Linux, but I am just curious to listen to your experiences with Linux scanners. I am using Suse 7.1
Advices of any kind are welcome:-)

Hi Praise! I have a Musteck TwinScan II scanner. It has the annoying problem, on occasions, of the scan bar stopping during retract, or jamming into the head or foot of the scanner, or stalling somewhere in the middle of the scan. This was a problem when I was using Win95, five years ago also. I called Musteck then and talked with techie, shortly after the warranty expired, and he admitted that scan head stalling and/or jamming was a problem, but said 'too bad'. But, using Scan1.0 with Gimp I have excellent results most of the time. Jerry
