You have one server and one Laptop? If that is the case you need to define a POP server for Kmail until it supports IMAP and then on the Server you need to install thepoper package.....which is started by inetd......be advised that unless you wrap POP in SSL it is _VERY_ bad if that Server is on the Internet.....that goes for IMAP too BTW. I already set up mi Kmail. I am sending mails with no prob. but I am not getting my messages in my inbox.
I set the server correctly and if I check the webmail I have some emails in my inbox but I press CHECK MAIL in the Kmail and it is not downloading those messages to my laptop. The most strange thing is that it is not giving me any error messages either.
What should I check?
Go to Settings, Configuration, Network, select a "incoming mail" and press modify... make sure that you have UNchecked "Exclude from Check Mail" --
Hope it helps,
