Incoming mail problem......
I already set up mi Kmail. I am sending mails with no prob. but I am not getting my messages in my inbox. I set the server correctly and if I check the webmail I have some emails in my inbox but I press CHECK MAIL in the Kmail and it is not downloading those messages to my laptop. The most strange thing is that it is not giving me any error messages either. What should I check? ===== Ricardo A. Go to Settings, Configuration, Network, select a "incoming mail" and press modify... make sure that you have UNchecked "Exclude from Check Mail" -- Hope it helps, Alvaro Novo SuSE 7.1 -=- Kernel 2.4.2-4GB -=- KDE 2.1.1 8:55pm up 1 day, 11:30, 2 users, load average: 0.01, 0.02, 0.00
I checked it, everything is properly setted and still
not working, any other idea?

You have one server and one Laptop? If that is the case you need to define a POP server for Kmail until it supports IMAP and then on the Server you need to install thepoper package.....which is started by inetd......be advised that unless you wrap POP in SSL it is _VERY_ bad if that Server is on the Internet.....that goes for IMAP too BTW. OK, I am having my laptop (SuSE 7.1) connected to a school network (NT with a lot of users on it)..... The NT server is providing us with dynamics IP (it didnt work until 7.1) but now is running cool!!!, only problem is incomming mail (everything is properly seted as my other W2K laptop), so it works fine with M$..... --- marsaro@interearth.com wrote:

Ricardo; So you are trying to POP off the MS Excahnge Server? You need to be sure that you have the Services running on the Exchange server for POP and that you have that server defined in Kmail and it should work...disregrad my last statement on security...if you are using MS-Exchange it is not secure in any mode so POP your heart out.....but just send me your IP so I can clean your /tmp out every so often :~) Regards, Jon On Wed, 2 May 2001, Ricardo Rodriguez wrote:
