Hi Michael, Does this mean that YOU only updates patches, and not the entire system? Is there a way to make it search for other packages if this is true? I was hoping to grab a copy of KDE 2.1 off of it (btw, if it does update the entire system, when might KDE 2.1 be on it?)... The answer may be right under my nose, but I'm not seeing it. If I go to the SuSE FTP site, I see packages which are fresher than what I got with the 7.1 distribution. If I tell YaST2 to update it finds some stuff, but not nearly as much as I see on the FTP site. This freshness issue is one good reason to understand where YaST2 is going for these updates. Another good reason is that it's dangerous to allow my computer go out connecting to servers I know nothing about.

The patches/ sub-directory has the info files for the online update.
