Basic interest points: - StarOffice kept crashing when opening Windoze proprietary formats, and fonts were better supported in OpenOffice, which he had to download since it wasn't included. - "You don't get all of KDE. For me this sucks..." (Quote) - "The Mandrake personal firewall (Bastille) is a serious hassle." (Quote) - and he claimed Mandrake 8.1 was better than the new 8.2. - "So to sum up, just in case my characteristic subtlety and mildness of expression went over your head, Mandrake 8.2 is a f***ing disaster." (Censored Quote) Is that great press or what? ;-) (Yeah, The Register isn't exactly an unbiased resource, but a lot of people read it, and the writer was an avid fan of Mandrake before this release.)
