While installing suse8.1 the os found the scanner but not the Epson Perfection 2400 Photo. It did have the 2450 listed which I believe is the preceding model. I chose the 2450 but I don't think it accepted my choice. Epson says it does not support linux!
1. How can I find out what the os has used for the scanner, if anything?
2. Is there a way to update the scanner database to include the 2400?
3. If the above does not work should I force the use of the 2450 and if yes, How?
thanks
Hi Serge,
Here is a link for some Epson software and drivers on the Linux platform:

Look around.....looks like Epson really wants to support Linux fully.
Also, have a look at http://www.hamrick.com. They make a Linux scanner software that fully supports almost every scanner there is. Especially Epsons. -- JAY VOLLMER JVOLLMER@VISI.COM TEXT REFS DOUBLEPLUSUNGOOD SELFTHINK VERGING CRIMETHINK IGNORE FULLWISE
