I just went to install some rpm files (for TuxPaint) and was concerned.
Every time I clicked on the rpm file (in Konqueror) I was told to install wtih yast. I dutifilyy gave my password and then had to wait several minutes while various cache files were updated before each would install.
What can I do to get rid of this behavior?
Big ranting thread here a day or four ago about the need to refresh repository cache for no obvious reason. The upshot is that coming upgrades are very much faster. For now, the easiest solution when you have the RPM in hand is command line install. rpm -u or rpm -i .
