Hi list,
I posted this to the NG, but my news server is down, and I couldn't find it on google or any other news servers. I've got a Polaroid PDC 640 digital camera. It's connected by serial cable to the PC. Using digikam and gtkam, I can't get it to communicate with the camera for some reason. It has a 2MB memory card, but since it's not a USB connection, I don't know what to do.
What does: gphoto2 --port /dev/ttyS0 --camera "Polaroid Fun Flash 640" -L --debug show?
Is /dev/ttyS0 accessible?
Ciao, Marcus
It's using ttyS1 (my external modem is on ttyS0). I substituted /dev/ttyS0 with /dev/ttyS1 and "Fun Flash" with "Polaroid PDC 640", and this is what I got with running your command:
************* john@linux:~> gphoto2 --port /dev/ttyS1 --camera "Polaroid PDC 640" -L --debug
Can you check if gphoto2 --list-cameras | grep 640 lists the PDC 640? Otherwise I think that libgphoto2 was not compiled correctly. Ciao, Marcus
