I don't understand why this is relevant. I want to stop the system from loading ide-scsi, that's all. BTW, who controls those links? The hwscan script? I really am beginning to dislike all this automatic artificial intelligence configuration stuff. I think I'd prefer if it was a bit more interactive and educational at the same time. Kind of like: The system has detected a new CDROM drive. We usually call that "/dev/cdrom." Would you like to use this or another device file?
