Untrue. Konqueror uses Java in a different way then Mozilla. You can use Java compiled with 2.95.x and Konqueror compiled with 3.2 just fine. I do it at work daily. The problem is that Konq is either not finding the java directory or that the site has a poorly written piece of JAVA.
relevance? Did you read the original post? On Mon, 2003-01-20 at 20:42, fsanta wrote:
Konqueror looks at /opt/mozilla/plugins (which I downloaded when Moz asked for it the first time) for the java plugin and works fine. Moz gives me: ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
'This page contains information of a type (application/x-java-vm) that can only be viewed with the appropriate Plug-in. Click OK to download Plugin.'
So fsanta's problem was with mozilla, while his konqi "works fine"
