Wine is supposed to allow you to run Windows programs such as Word or Excel or Photoshop or other Windows-based programs from within Linux. I've only got notepad and a couple other programs to work. Once you get it setup, you should be able to type "wine notepad.exe" and it will open notepad in Linux. If anyone out there is an expert on Wine, let me know please. Right now I'm using W2k at the office (Linux at home) and would like to go full-time to Linux, but I need a couple essential programs from Windows...ACT!, Frontpage, and some Adobe products.
