This was a very long thread originally called Postfix Question.
Still continue to have problems. Slightly different now though. Cannot get Procmail to work properly.
I'm getting lost. Procmail?
Background, KDE 3.3 & Kmail 1.7 I have 3 email addresses.one of which is rnr@sanctum.com Originally I could not send out emails unless I downloaded mails first. Carlos E.R. gave me a step by step of how to setup Procmail in Yast. During that process I changed the name of my local address to "EasyStreet" hoping that it would make things a little clearer for me. That worked for sending messages. (somewhat) Now I find that emails cannot be downloaded to that address. The other two are OK.
Or postfix? Be carefull with names, or you'll get us very confused. I was helping you to configure postfix. You say you are sending to "bob@EasyStreet.local". I don't know how you have done that, what configuration you modified, but I see a possible problem there: postfix will have problems delivering to servers that are not resolved by the DNS server. What exactly is your machine name? It is the ouput of this command: hostname --long -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
