Thanks, Lenz:
I just talked with our main KDE maintainer and he confirmed that the RPMs on ftp.suse.com are in fact newer builds than the ones on kde.org - he cannot easily update the packages there.
Especially the kdevelop RPM on kde.org still has a little buglet (the kdevelop binary has the wrong name).
Bye, LenZ
And Tim Butler said:
I thought I'd let everyone know I downloaded the SuSE RPM's from kde.org, and some, abeit not all, of the bugs on the suse.com version are fixed (SSL works!). As always both versions are from SuSE, but I guess the kde.org one must have been a later build?
So it's in fact the *earlier* build at kde.org that Tim identifies as not suffering from an SSL problem, tho' obviously the KDevelop binary thing is cured in the ones on suse.com. That would appear to mean the later build has the bigger problems ... Sorry to press a point, but does that agree with what others are finding, about the https problems, etc?
