Hi list,
I am planning to buy a new but not too expensive scanner. I am checking sane's homepage to see what scanners work with Linux, but I am just curious to listen to your experiences with Linux scanners. I am using Suse 7.1
Advices of any kind are welcome:-)
Hello All, I do recommend , if you can find one , the UMAX 2200 SU, with an in-built transperancy adapter. This model allows real flexibility , as you can use it on a SCSI or USB bus. Fashionable , it isn't . I find it a durable and heavy-duty scanner. I use it as an emulated SCSI device and SANE picks it up nicely as a /dev/sg*. Goodluck. Kemdi
