Hi,
I am getting infrequent and seemingly random lock-ups on my openSUSE 10.2 - as in, nothing responds anymore (no ctrl+alt+backspace, nothing) and the only solution is a computer reboot. How do I go about diagnosing this problem? I am using KDE.
Thanks, Sorin
Can you access it with ssh? Is there a lot of disk activity? Other symptoms?
I don't have sshd installed - this is my desktop system. Disk activity is normal (though I am using beagle). The lockups are infrequent, maybe one or two per week, and I can't tie them to anything I am doing at that time. I didn't move any hardware around in the last couple of months at least. When the last one occurred, earlier today, I was actively using the computer.
