I don't know if you have had any direct replies. I noticed a couple of items missing from the multimedia section, namely, k3b and volume control. However, they were there in the editor. I moved the volume control to another location and then did a save, and then everything was back. I moved the volume control back to it's original location and it has remained visible. I've got a feeling there are items missing from other sections but I haven't checked it out as yet. My guess is that either something has got overwritten or a config file failed to be created during the update. Don't know, haven't checked anything out, just guesses at the mo.
Hope that helps.

The main culprit on my system is Codeweavers Crossover Office. When I use the Menu Editor the entries show up, but they do not show in the menu tree. I did find a couple of entries on CXO's website blaming SUSE for doing something different in KDE. But it is not my place to place blame, I only want to know why items show when using the KDE menu editor but fail to appear when using the menu. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998
