Hi all, using k3b or growisofs I can burn DVD only choosing write speed AUTOMATIC (k3b) or not to select -speed=N option (growisofs). This is the system answer when I tried to chenge write speed:
:-( Failed to change write speed: 0->2770
This error appears both I'm a normal user or I'm root Can anyone tell me why? Is there any configuration process to be done?
I'm using Suse 9.1 and a Sony-DRU-530A DVD recorder
TIA

I guess it is with -R disks. And, it happens with my Plextor as well. As far as I investigated the problem, this may happen with some media. So, Chances are that with a different media it will work. Also firmware update may help. One way or another, the possible workaround is to prepare first the image, and after that to burn the image. Then you should be able to avoid this error.
