Thanks for your help! Now the printer is running in my opensuse 12.2 64 bits. Well, I still have to configure the scanner. I will give a break for now, latter I will start that. I simply had to follow the readme file and install the printer from cups, not from yast. But my cups had some problem (access control issue?) which was not allowing me to add a printer. The Brother printer I added from yast, hence I had not to face that cups issue. It is unclear to me what was exactly the problem to add a printer in cups, but it is now solved. I did some changes in the files cupsd.conf and group (with the help of Anton), but with no success at first; then I tried to install the same printer with a different driver from xerox from yast. After that, don't ask me why, I could add a printer in cups. Thanks, Davi -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
