Forget about AFUL. I won't call any names on them although I'd really love to. Useless bunch of self-promoting people just interested in making money.
not right. I know them for long now, it's a non profit organisation (of course, even non profit make money, but not for people use) SUSE and France History is long and complex. SUSE was, ten years ago, the best french distro, with the far better manual. Then SUSE wants to make a french SUSE company. I don't know (and don't want to know) why, things went wrong and there where conflicts between SUSE de and SUSE fr. The net result was sales in France dropping near zero and the french manual desapearing. Hopefully Novell come and the manual in french come up again. in the mean time, Mandrake come. I -this is only a personal opinion- really dislike the way they pushed Red Hat out of the dealers by a price politic I name dumping. And at that time mandrake was solely Red hat copy and no more. I never understand how they could be seen as French. May be the first directors where french, but for a long time now the central point is in USA.
From now on, Red Hat leaved the home market and I see only Mandrake as trying to run after SUSE in term of ease of use without any chance to reach it, but I'm not objective :-)
to make short a long story, most French don't ever know SUSE exists. and we must try to change this. At present time I try to do. AFUL could help. Links with Novell France could also. I also have contact with french forum Alionet to try to have a more important collaboration... jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://dodin.org/galerie_photo_web/expo/index.html http://lucien.dodin.net http://fr.susewiki.org/index.php?title=Gérer_ses_photos
