SuSE 9.0 There was a problem with the original xntp rpm from install disk trying to address the drift file with an incorrect address. mmj from SuSE posted corrected rpm's which he has removed. I have copies of those rpm's at: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/~pat/xntp-4.1.1-367.i586.rpm and http://wahoo.no-ip.org/~pat/xntpd-doc-4.1.1-367.i586.rpm
You may correct the link manually, if you prefer. Described below.

must be: /var/lib/ntp/var/lib/ntp -> ../../
