There is another message I sent tonite that explains my problem. I don't need humongous plain text messages--usually some kind of impenetrable C code--loading up my hard drive. Because I automatically archive attachments, for a good reason, I detest those that are completely unnecessary and should be included as part of the message. If they were, then those who are not interested, or cannot contribute, can simply pass on to the next message. My use of Windows for email is explained also, if it's of any interest to anyone. I AM trying to use Linux, off and on, but when I am trying to get things done, I'm afraid it will be Windows until XP takes hold (is that its name?) and at that point I will have to leave. Win 98SE would seem like my last MS OS.
Can everyone please take this off-list. If Doug wants to delete every message with an attachment, then he is free to do so. In fact, he will probably delete this one. It doesn't affect anyone else if he wants to miss out on most of the content on this list (a lot of regulars have signatures). Thats my $0.02 anyway. -v -- Victor R.
