If you are using a Sendmail RPM that's not from SuSE I would suggest against it. I would either use SuSE's RPM's or build it from src so you can put things where you see fit. You could try rpm -e sendmail and then installing the new one. Be sure to back up your config files first...but at least this way you know it worked.
