Did you try to disabilitate i2o?
Seth Mayotte
I have a system that is currently running SuSE 8.0 professional. I am attempting to do a clean install of SuSE 9.1 professional. The system is a Supermicro SuperServer 6022L-6. The motherboard has an integrated Adaptec SCSI RAID controller 2005S.
During the installation, SuSE 9.1 successfully loads the aacraid module, but does not detect the disks (when it tries to recommend partitioning). I have tried the manual installation with different modules to no avail. I have also tried the disabled APIC installation, which also failed. The SuSE 8.0 installation automatically finds the controller and the disks using the dpt_i2o module.
Thanks for any ideas.
