problem installing 9.1 with Adaptec RAID controller
I have a system that is currently running SuSE 8.0 professional. I am attempting to do a clean install of SuSE 9.1 professional. The system is a Supermicro SuperServer 6022L-6. The motherboard has an integrated Adaptec SCSI RAID controller 2005S. During the installation, SuSE 9.1 successfully loads the aacraid module, but does not detect the disks (when it tries to recommend partitioning). I have tried the manual installation with different modules to no avail. I have also tried the disabled APIC installation, which also failed. The SuSE 8.0 installation automatically finds the controller and the disks using the dpt_i2o module. Thanks for any ideas. Seth Mayotte __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Friends. Fun. Seth, And the dpt_i2o module in 9.1 loads and doesn't see the disks, or it doesn't load so you have no way to see the disks? Did you try to disabilitate i2o?
