Under the complete and clean install of oS 11.1 with KDE4.x I *cannot* get kaffeine or xine to play a DVD -- because there are not the necessary codecs inslalled (according to the error message/s).
Have you installed the packman versions of those packages?
I've the problem, that I simultaniously use the KDE backports, which seems to provide a "newer" version of Kaffeine, and installs this version over the packman version... Which results in a nice message telling me that I cannot play back such DVDs. (manually changing the version in yast helps)
Something I had tried was running Kaffeine as root. 'Sure 'nuff....DVDs play with NO problem, so YES, Marcus, the old bug that is back is causing this problem.
