Today I was prompted with a security update to mozilla-xulrunner. The update comes from the openSUSE-11.0-Updates repository. When attempting to apply the update, it fails with a PackageKit Error of "Dependency resolution failed" message. Clicking on More details offers the following:
patch:mozilla-xulrunner181-329.noarch conflicts with mozilla-xulrunner181.i586 < 1.8.1.18-0.1 provided by mozilla-xulrunner181-1.8.1.18-1.1.i586
The auto-update then tells me the update was applied, but it obviously wasn't and notifies me of a security update the next time it checks.
Does anyone know how I can resolve this issue? Should I just wait and let it work itself out? Anyone else seeing this? Please open a bugreport and attach the zypp solver testcase.
zypper up --debug-solver

Is this another instance of bug #447986? I see it too but I hadn't done anything about it as I guess that it could be related to the previous issue...
Since the "newer" version is from my repo I want to get that solved but I'm not sure what causes it. Apparently I don't understand the error message but I'd expect that everything should be fine as the version of the buildservice is higher than the official update. And I couldn't reproduce it up to now. Wolfgang -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
