You are probably running a SMTP server (sendmail, qmail, smail, Postfix, etc.) as a daemon and in inetd.conf. Get rid of one. Postfix should be run only as a daemon, not in /etc/inetd.conf. Check the docs for the others. Jeffrey Quoting Alex Daniloff :
