Hello Linux folkz, I'm getting this message in /var/log/messages all the time: inetd[1126]: smtp/tcp (2): bind: Address already in use Could somebody tell me please what it is and how to fix it. Thank you in advance. Alex -- MS Windows users should be covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act! --------------> Try Linux and you'll understand why <--------------
You are probably running a SMTP server (sendmail, qmail, smail, Postfix, etc.)
as a daemon and in inetd.conf. Get rid of one. Postfix should be run
only as a daemon, not in /etc/inetd.conf. Check the docs for the others.
