I already have a terminal emulator running on my windows PC, it's called reflection, and it works very well. My question is whether such a client exists on the Linux platform.
On Linux you may (i) start another X server, (ii) use the nested X server Xnest, or (iii) use VNC.
I find out that when I am running linux on my pc and I want to connect graphically to another unix server on my network, I have to shutdown KDE, and connect through the text interface (X-query <servername>).
You don't have to stop your current X server. Switch to a text console (e.g. Ctrl-Alt-F2), log in, and start a new X-server: X :1 -query <servername> Switch between them via key combinations Ctrl-Alt-F2, Alt-F8, Alt-F9, ... -- A.M.
