A few days ago in another oS list I posted an article re AdBlock Plus claiming that its owner "....has been quietly approaching makers of iOS ad-blocking software, offering them monthly payouts to support the "whitelist" policy that allows the AdBlock Plus to make its money."

AdBlock Plus (for Firefox) had been 'replaced' by AdBlock Edge (a fork or AB+) some time ago which did not allow a whitelist of ads.
I just had a look and found that AdBlock Edge has been discontinued but has been replaced (by the (?)author - I didn't check) by *uBlock* *Origin* which, of course, does not have a whitelist.
FYI.
