Are you employed at SUSE/Novell or does opensuse.org now sell e-mail addresses :-)
I'm trying to build an image for a USB stick - openSUSE 11.0 - but I seem to be getting all kinds of weird and wonderful errors. Such as: wrong number of inodes for the filesystem, unable to read local repository, media exceptions etc. I'll keep trying, but just in case someone says "ah, don't bother, it doesn't really work"?
I tried that some time back. You have to add certain kernel modules that allow to boot from usb stick and your mainboard has to support it. To make a long story short, I gave up and bought an external USB harddrive. USB harddrives provide much more space, are faster, last longer and if space is an issue, go for 2" and not 3.5". Sorry I don't can encourage much more ;-) But, you could look on the Net if someone else succeeded and offers a USB Linux for download.
