Are you looking for an answer to the subject-line, or help on the mechanism of the following command?
mpg123 -s something.mpg >something.cdr
I'm no .mp3 expert but I can tell you you will never extract a wav from mp3 that matches the sound quality of the original wav. But you probably already knew that.
Shit. APologies to all who did get me wrong. I am not asking for differences between wav and mpg. I know them from practice in years now. Read carefully! I want to know about the differences (again READ!!!!!DAMN!) between original .WAV format and that "cdr" format which is being written out by mpg123 (using -w switch). Is there any at all? That all came up in another thread, where we were discussing conversion scripts. -- *º¤., ¸¸,.¤º*¨¨¨*¤ =Oliver@home= *º¤., ¸¸,.¤º*¨¨*¤ I http://www.bmw-roadster.de/Friends/Olli/olli.html I I http://www.bmw-roadster.de/Friends/friends.html I I http://groups.yahoo.com/group/VGAP-93 I I http://home.t-online.de/home/spacecraft.portal I
