Hi,
the new networkManager in SUSE 10.1 does not work for me. When I click on the cable connection in kNetworkManager there are two popups telling me that it disconnects (previous connections??) and connects immediately afterwards. The other popup showing the activation status displays "Activation status: IP configuration started" for a while, switches to "IP configuration requested" and afterwards "apply IP configuration". It seems to be fine then (connection established: eth1), but there is no default route:

The traditional ifup-method works without any problems. Anybody can help me here?
First make sure that the DHCP server is setup correctly, would expect it is since the connection works with ifup. This is info that needs to be supplied when you open a bugzilla request. Which is the next step. I too am having problems using NetworkManager with my wireless and have an open bug report. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998
