Hi.
I did the same upgrade (from 4.0.3 to 4.1.0), and all of X completely
froze. Even 'X -probeonly' locked the PC, with a long e2fsck afterwards.
I tried twice with same results. I reverted to 4.03.
I have an S3 Savage 3D AGP primary, Matrox Millenium PCI secondary,
kernel 2.4.2, Suse 7.0.
I have graphics hardware sharing IRQ11 with other devices. These freeze
sounds familiar to me with an old X version freezing time ago because of
irq sharing; an upgrade solved it. Strange...

I had the same problem. Wmlist is in the directory in which you find the 7.0., 7.1, 7.2 directories. It is the last file there.
If you find another fix for this problem please let me know.
Actually, strangely, I got mozilla to run once, exactly as root...
Never again, I get the same message as you. Go figure.

Same here -- I upgraded XFree86 from 4.0.3 to 4.1.0, and mozilla stopped working.
