Below are the parts in my own xorg.conf that are relevant. The point is, you need to have two devices. The nVidia card has an option "UseDisplayDevice" or "ConnectedMonitor" ... where you can decide which connection applies. The option names on your Radeon will wary, but there should be options giving similar functionality. Then in the server layout section, you make the independent screen setup.

I think I tried that back on 10.0 in trying to get it to work, and instead came upon the MergedFB to resolve it. Which resulted in the xorg.conf I posted. But if Rajko's pointer to the bugfix rpm does not work, I will give this a shot as well. Having more screen real estate is always good, it stinks going back down. Thanks!
