I'm looking for an upgrade to what the BIOS info sites tell me is an illegal BIOS - ID string i430VX-2A59Ht5BC-00. Although the board is anonymous, research hints that it may be a PC Chips 520, no longer supported on mfr's site. Other info says it's a Tyan, which I think most unlikely as there is no Tyan id on the board. Any pointers to a bios that will give me CD boot capability would be welcomed - this is for my testbed pc which sees a lot of CD installs, all from floppy boot : (
Have a look at ctbios: ftp://ftp.heise.de/pub/ct/ctsi/ctbios13.zip. Maybe it can tell you the manufacturer of your board.
