[SLE] OT - looking for bios upgrade for i430VX-2A59Ht5BC-00
I'm looking for an upgrade to what the BIOS info sites tell me is an illegal BIOS - ID string i430VX-2A59Ht5BC-00. Although the board is anonymous, research hints that it may be a PC Chips 520, no longer supported on mfr's site. Other info says it's a Tyan, which I think most unlikely as there is no Tyan id on the board. Any pointers to a bios that will give me CD boot capability would be welcomed - this is for my testbed pc which sees a lot of CD installs, all from floppy boot : ( TIA, The Wulfster -- This sig brought to you by SuSE 6.3 and sendmail. Thanks to all who answered - having already combed the usual bios sources, I guess I'm not going to get an update. Still, watching the system haul itself up from floppies is character building :) On Sat, 22 Apr 2000, Marcel Broekman wrote:

Have a look at ctbios: ftp://ftp.heise.de/pub/ct/ctsi/ctbios13.zip. Maybe it can tell you the manufacturer of your board.
