I have had Linux 5.2 now for a week and can't past YaST. I am trying to use an older 386 with 8M RAM and a 200 Meg HD. Is this possible? I had read an article on NT vs. Linux which lead me to think that Linux could do apps with a lot less machine. ..
Exactly- you have "a lot less machine." linux doesn't pacify you with neat screens to show you what it's doing; it uses those resources to work even faster. you have a 386, so give it time, perhaps 10 minutes. we have a suse box at work that took over two days to compile a kernel, so don't worry.
ps My MSDOS car may leave me on the road, but at least I can get on the road .. know what I mean?
yeah, but do you have to stop your car to signal with linux?
