I have linked several Linux boxes together but never tried shares so this is new to me as well :)
Sean Hi this is an example of the smb.conf that will work with Windows as an Primary Domain Server You need to change the workgoup to your workgroup. and for the logins the samba_server name. you need to create a directory if you want the netlogon possiblilty with a script for example
"echo Setting Current time ......... net time \\samba_server /set /yes"
if you create this in linux you need to change it so it is readable from DOS
I am trying to get the Windows 98 box to logon to the linux box and I keep getting a domain error from Windows. ATM both boxes cannot see each other but see each other only IP :( Sean -- GPG Key Id 120A02FB ICQ: 679813 Jabber: tcobone@jabber.org SuSE 9.0 for when you want to spend time doinmg and not rebooting
