You are wrong: both are included.
Hello, I use DVDs that go with Linux Magazine, SuSE 10.2 and 10.3 with issues 75 and 85. YaST can't find htdig or wine in SuSE 10.3.
I had bad experience with opensuse.org repo, YaST takes ages to start. Maybe you enjoy very fast Internet connection? I live in a rural area in Portugal - the weather is much better here!
This was true for 10.2 but the repository handling in 10.3 was improved a lot!
Yes, I agree that using repositories with anything less than an ADSL connection, is a real PITA.
However... instead of using the download.opensuse.org redirector, you can use another repo that works faster for you. I think I remember reading about one on a portuguese usinversity, perhaps: [...] Or, you could buy the boxed edition: two double layer DVDs, they contain more. Or mirror into an external usb drive the entire oss / non oss repos
Or, you can use the "Software Search"[0] and then the "1-Click Install"[1] for 10.3. In this case, no additional repository needs to be added permanently. Doing so, there is no delay for "everydays" work with YaST.
