Any Ideas?
I have oo641c installed and running just fine - huge improvement over so5.2. I suspect you had a bad download. Try it again.
I think Philip may be on to something here - I've had a similar problem in SuSE 7.2 where OpenOffice installs fine on some installations, but on occassions where I have re-installed SuSE, it simply refuses to start, giving nothing useful at the command line.
I found out what appears to be one of the dumbest bugs ever: If you have kicker or a task list on either side, as opposed to the top or bottom (I'm a Step guy), OpenOffice will not install or start. It just stops without a decent error message. I had a lot of fun figuring that out... - -- James Oakley Engineering - SolutionInc Ltd. joakley@solutioninc.com http://www.solutioninc.com -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE8Z9x8+FOexA3koIgRArv0AJ9hE3+t6TK21U/ekIFqoNTD33maxgCfYKv6 w5nb1QgfNzPEEBoYoxmaOOw= =eKhX -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
