Ken,
Bear with me here. I must be one dumb old codger. Are you telling me that if I just edit the fstab files and the menu.lst file that I will get back the 30+ partitions that libata took away?

Read the rest of YOUR thread. It is after you change back to the legacy driver, just before you reboot. If you change to the legacy driver it uses hdxx for the IDE drives which means you also need to change any reference in /etc/fstab and /boot/grub/menu.lst as well. If _you_ are not sure of (know) what _you_ are doing _you_ will break _your_ system. -- Ken Schneider SuSe since Version 5.2, June 1998 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
