Hi there, I would like to be pointed in the right direction for the following project I have got : I want to share the load of several hundred request on my internal web server onto several , rather cheap machines. The intranet application does 90% queries, 10% update/insert in a database. my goal is 1:reliability (by far the most important), then 2:speed/processing power. So, if one of the machines dies (e.g. hardware failure) I want the remaining machines to automatically share the load. I have heard about clustering but I have a feeling that it is not exactly what I need as I understand that it is able to distribute some bits of the same application along several CPUs. Any ideas ?
