From my perspective all the business about pruning unnecessary text, being polite, etc is just...well... nit-picking in a sort of way.
For some being polite is just normal fact of life, for some it must be written and reread from time to time.
One of the issues which should be brought to the forefront, and all users should have this tattooed on their foreheads, is that PRIVATE MAIL is just that: *PRIVATE MAIL*!
For you it is private email problem, for someone else it will be quoting, replying style, and so on. Everyone has something that is the most important, and the netiquette is there to make people aware about consent. Basically it is not, you must do that at any cost, but more what one should do to get maximum attention for his/her problem. IMO any warning on posting style is more help to get help, ie. avoid irritating people with miscellaneous actions, then enforcing rules. I guess that: http://freenode.net/channel_guidelines.shtml is must read for everyone helping others, specially: "Don't be caught by support burnout" -- Regards Rajko, -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
