Hi.

From: Alexander Daniloff
Could somebody please give me clarification about Squid proxy purposes. Do I really need this squid daemon running for general web browsing, firewalling and masquerading of my home network? Thanks in advance, Alex
Squid is just a web proxy.. It is preferable to use rather than letting your clients masq out to the real world.. You don't NEED it.. But it can be nice :) Cya Matthew Matthew King: Network Engineer, Cable & Wireless Optus. My ICQ#: 2342475 Message me!
