Although many guidelines for posting are out there, it's clear that there's no agreement on the subject. Nevertheless, I'll propose two simple higher-level guidelines: 1. Exclude all quoted material that is of no value to the reader. The standard SuSE trailer lines are an egregious example of such extraneous material; nothing is gained by quoting them. 2. Organize the post logically, so that referenced material precedes the reference to it. As far as I'm concerned, someone who follows just those guidelines has done no wrong. Paul
