I disagree here, it should go to a language select page, allowing the "visitor" the ability to chose whatever language they wished to use from those available. Just why everyone is expected to have the same "second language" is a "disapointment".
If you set up you browser properly, with all your languages of preference, then such a specific page is not required. This of course is not reality :-) I totally agree that it should be easy to switch from one language to another, whether that is on a "splash" screen or incorporated into the front page, I don't think really matters. As long it is clear how to get to the other languages (no matter what languages you understand). Peter 'Pflodo' Flodin.
