For a start edit, your /etc/inetd.conf. Place # in front of all the services that you do not want. Edit your /etc/hosts.allow, and /etc/hosts.deny. A good way is to deny everyone in hosts.deny. And place the hosts you want to allow in hosts.allow. To start, do a man inted, man hosts.allow, and man hosts.deny. I think those last two mans are the same. After the changes, reboot.
