Is there a How to anywhere that goes through the steps of installing an old ISA PnP soundcard in SuSE? It is a Creative Soundblaster AWE 32 card. It works lovely but I have never got it running under version of Linux.
The AWE32 is one of the better known cards - I have one or two about somewhere. I've recently installed a couple of elderly systems with ISA PnP cards - Aztech - worked just fine. If your AWE32 PnP is truly not being recognised, I would open a bugreport with Novell - someone should be able to help you with this. Are you sure it's PnP? My old (pre-95 I think) AWE32 isn't. What does "pnpdump" say? /Per Jessen, Zürich -- http://www.spamchek.com/ - managed anti-spam and anti-virus solution. Let us analyse your spam- and virus-threat - up to 2 months for free.
